One thing that I would truly like to be able to do is slow down time. It just slips away and I don't know where it's gone! September 1st already ... I can hardly believe it!
Ha! Even more time slipped by! Now it's Sunday, the 6th! Actually it was a good week. A week of some growth and some good times at work.
I think I'll pick this up again tomorrow. Feeling physically tired and pretty much mentally absent.

My purpose here
Well a few days have passed. I have to say that the more days that go by, the easier it is to not come here and write. I think that is were I usually allow myself to get caught ... and end up dropping out of something that I've started.
Anyway, I'm back. No excuses for not coming here every day and writing for a few minutes. After all, my purpose here is to keep myself on track, to contemplate my intentions and to share with you.
I have been reading Wayne Dyer's book, Excuses Begone! It has been a help for me if only in that I realize that all of my reasons for not doing what I thought I wanted to do, are just excuses. I am capable of doing everything ... barriers only exist in my mind ... the world is full of endless possibilities.
If you haven't read this book, I highly recommend it! Actually, I recommend any of his books, but you had to read just one, this would be a good place to start.
I have another recommendation too, but I'll save that for later today ... more then!

Wednesday Morning
Good morning. Well today is day two of living more intentionally. Yesterday was a completely busy and insane day ... working (off and on) from 5:30 am until 11:00 pm. My jobs are not hard, but they keep me hopping! Right now I work at a restaurant doing administrative stuff and I have a pet sitting business as well.
I love the pet sitting business ... I've never had such grateful customers! And the best part is that I learn something from animals all the time ... the most significant thing that I have learned from every animal I've cared for is how "in the moment" they are. There is nothing more important to an animal than NOW ... than having their dinner NOW ... than having their belly rubbed NOW ... going for a walk NOW ... taking a nap NOW! It sounds funny, but it is so real at the same time. I've noticed that when one of my own little dogs stands there, looking up at me, wagging their tail, looking at me with anticipation ... that they are so fully present. It is such a beautiful thing.
I would like to be that present ... to know who I am and what I want. To not be fretting over the future or planning what to do next, etc. Be fully present in whatever is happening at this very moment. This is the only moment that I have ... right now and right now ...
So today, I will practice being in the moment ... noticing it, observing it, appreciating it for what it is ... I am doing this as I sit here and type ... feeling my fingers move across the keyboard and the words rolling around in my head coming out of my fingertips. Life is a beautiful thing when you watch it happening!

Intentional Living
Good morning! I have decided that I am going to take control of my life! And, in order to have a place to talk about it and perhaps help others who are on the same quest, I have decided to blog.
This blog will be the journal of my journey ... the intent is to create a record and is, for the most part, for my benefit. However, I will share all resources ... books, websites, programs, quotes, etc. ... that I feel may be helpful to others. It'll be up to you do investigate these and decide whether or not they are worthwhile for you.
My intention is to write everyday for at least 40 days. I want to get into the habit of thinking and living intentionally, by this I mean - taking responsibility for my thoughts, feelings and the outcome of my life. I feel that I am making decisions without thinking and without making deliberate choices.
I hope you chose to join me on this journey, I would love to hear from others who are on a similar path!
